Pat Sajak snaps at ‘Wheel’ contestant for doing host’s job

We would like to buy an awkward moment.

Pat Sajak got snappy with a “Wheel of Fortune” contestant during Monday’s show after a returning player overstepped his boundary.

Fan-favorite Christian Dixie — who appeared on the show in 2020 — was chewed out by Sajak, 76, when the 22-year-old grabbed the envelope in the game show’s bonus round.

“In fairness, we used to do it that way; the player would pick up the thing,” explained the 76-year-old to both Dixie and the audience. “Don’t ever do it again.”

The comment elicited a nervous chuckle from the crowd.

Unperturbed, Dixie joked that if he did do it again he would just “take over” Sajak’s position as host.

The Post reached out to both Sajak and Dixie for comment.

The Ball State Alum spun the coveted bonus wheel after beating his other competitors with a whopping $19,300.

Dixie was given the puzzle under the category of “phrase” and the letters “R, S, T, L, N and E.”

The young adult guessed an additional four letters of “H, Y, V, A” leaving the puzzle to read “_AY THE_ A _ _ S_T.”

Dixie managed to guess the answer to “pay them a visit” in a matter of seconds winning a brand new Infinity car as well as bringing his total winnings up to $64,615.

“Wheel’s” official Twitter account praised Dixie’s puzzle-solving skills by releasing a compilation video of all his wins.

“Remember Christian? He’s still a puzzle-solving extraordinaire,” said the tweet.

This is not the first time the host has gotten shady with contestants.

In March, the 76-year-old scolded Tracina Jones who attempted to solve a puzzle with an NSFW answer.

Sajak also got testy with another woman in March and told her to just “solve the darn puzzle” after she spun the wheel too many times for the host’s liking.

Recently, Sajak was slammed for numerous antics on the game show stage including being dismissive to a contestant as well as “robbing” a college student of $100,000.
