Heart-pounding dashcam video captures the chilling moment a baby is thrown from a speeding car onto the side of an Ohio highway during a breakneck police chase — with the infant miraculously surviving.

Newly released footage obtained by The Post shows suspect Zachary Chervenka allegedly leading cops from the Bryan Police Department on a reckless chase on Dec. 1, during which the child, still strapped to his car seat, is propelled onto the median.

Minutes later police deliver the baby’s frantic mom to the scene — where she finds him cold but alive.

“Is that a car seat?” a cop is heard saying as she pullsup to a highway off-ramp.

“Oh my God, that’s the car seat there!” the boy’s mom cries out. “Oh God, please let me out.”

The unidentified mom then dashes out of the police cruiser in tears.

“Baby boy! Baby boy!” she sobs as she picks up her son and clutches him in her arms. “Oh, mama’s got you. He’s so cold. Baby. OK, mama’s here, mama’s here. Oh baby, my baby.

“I’m so sorry baby,” she said. “Mama’s got you.”

Chervenka, 32, identified by police as the baby’s father, was wanted on several arrest warrants, including for assault and burglary, online records show.

He was sitting in the car at a local Walmart around 9:30 pm while the mother was shopping inside when he was spotted by police and took off — with the baby and his sister still inside.

Cops chased the vehicle but eventually pulled off, the footage shows.

Bryan police later drive the baby’s frantic mom to the scene, and find the infant miraculously still alive.
The unidentified mom clutches her son, who was listed in fair condition at a local hospital after the shocking ordeal.

Bodycam footage then shows police questioning the mother in the Walmart parking lot — who tells cops Chervenka called her to say he left the baby on the side of the road, giving her the location.

That’s when police drive her to the scene and for the miraculous reunion, with the boy then rushed to Toledo Hospital and listed in fair condition, according to a press release from Bryan police.

Police later caught up with Chervenka, who is charged with assault, child endangerment, failure to comply, car theft and other charges. He is being held at the local jail without bail.
