She’s on the naughty list!
A South Carolina mom accidentally sent her family a live Christmas photo with audio of a “smutty” erotic romance novel describing a man’s “bulge forming” — sparkling a viral video and endless teasing from her relatives.
“I will never live this down,” Kimberly Barber told Today.com with a laugh.
Barber — who had no clue that iPhone live photos take 1.5 seconds of movement and sound — snapped a shot of her twinkling holiday fireplace display and sent it in a group chat to her family earlier this week.
But the wholesome image of reindeer decorations and lights was punctuated by a clip of a raunchy audio book playing in the background — describing a hot-and-bothered male character’s pants begin to bulge.
“When your mom takes a Live Photo and forgets she’s listening to her smut book.. then sends it in the family chat!” her daughter, Taylor McGuigan, wrote in a now viral Tiktok video.
The clip came from the steamy novel, “Break Me,” which reviewers describe as an “extremely sexy, angsty” tale of “addictive forbidden romance.”
McGuigan’s husband, Mark, tapped on the image and uncovered the hilariously embarrassing gaffe.
“He played it for me and we literally hit the floor laughing,” McGuigan said. “It took us a really long time to recover.”
Her mom “was mortified,” she said.
Barber, who co-owns online boutique Willow Dock Design, may have unwittingly given tech-challenged folks a key tip to avoid mishaps.
“I DIDNT REALIZE LIVE PICTURES HAVE SOUND,” one person wrote in the TikTok comments section
“Who else just discovered those Live Photos have sound? I’m so terrified about all the pictures I’ve ever sent,” another user wrote.
