Barron Trump advised his president-elect father on the campaign trail — convincing him to sit down with internet personalities to reach a wider, younger audience in order to win back the White House, Melania Trump revealed.
“He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore,” the incoming First Lady said on Fox and Friends on Friday morning.
“They are all on the tablets, they are on the phones and all of these podcasts and streamers,” she added.
The proud mom revealed how her 18-year-old, 6′ 9″ son was “very vocal” in giving “advice to his father,” saying it was “incredible how he brought in [the] success because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to.”
Presidnet-elect Donald Trump heeded his son’s advice and made appearances on several major podcasts — most notably on the immensely popular “Joe Rogan Experience,” where he did a nearly three-hour interview with the comic just days before he defeated Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris, meanwhile, scoffed at such interviews, with one of her only podcast interviews on the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast failing to even crack 1 million views.
When not counseling his father behind the scenes, Barron kicked off his freshman year at NYU’s Stern School of Business in Manhattan.
But his mom acknowledged his life at college — which includes being flanked at all times by the Secret Service — is far from typical.
“I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college is very different from any other kid, and I’m very proud of how he’s handling it,” Melania Trump said.
“He’s very strong and he knows that he’s in a different position than other children,” she said.
“I just say make your dreams come true. This is your role. This is your life. And make sure that you listen to yourself.”
