Paranoid healthcare and insurance companies have scrubbed their websites following United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s assassination, removing bios and photographs of their top executives.
UnitedHealthcare ripped down its “about us/leadership” webpage, which had previously featured Thompson’s photo and bio, soon after the Wednesday murder.
Now, an error message pops up in its place.
Cigna Group and CVS Health, which owns Aetna, removed photos of their top leaders on their respective websites, but kept the executives’ bios.
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, which previously listed 25 top employees on its leadership page, now redirects to the company’s “about us” page.
Other insurers like Caresource, Medica and Elevance Health have also scrubbed their websites of their executives’ photos and information.
Some healthcare CEOs’ Wikipedia pages have even been marked for deletion.
Meanwhile, the manhunt for Thompson’s killer entered its fourth day Saturday.
Thompson, 50, was gunned down at 6:44 a.m. as he was approaching an investor event at the Hilton Midtown without any security detail.
